NFL 2013

I feel like beating that mediocre Chargers team was more than made up for by beating the Cowboys team.

Speaking of anomalies. San Fran got beat in every other instance, and rode a mudshit homefield advantage, 1st quarter bizarro turnover fest to victory. It didn't happen before or again after.

Although the Cowboys eventually held a 451–294 advantage in total offensive yards, the 49ers converted three turnovers into three touchdowns in the first quarter en route to the 38–28 victory. On the third play of the game, San Francisco cornerback Eric Davis intercepted Aikman's pass and returned it 44 yards for a touchdown. Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin lost a fumble on the next Dallas possession, setting up a 29-yard touchdown pass from Young to running back Ricky Watters, who eluded several Cowboys defenders high-stepping his way down the sideline en route to the goal line in spectacular showboating fashion. Dallas returner Kevin Williams then fumbled the ensuing kickoff, San Francisco kicker Doug Brien recovered the ball at the Cowboys 35-yard line, and running back William Floyd scored on a 1-yard touchdown to give his team a 21–0 lead with 7:33 left in the first quarter.

peyton has a better completion % and about 15,000 more yards than brady and over 100 more TDs. there total QB rating is virtually the same. no one playing today is ever going to catch peytons numbers.

Yet all those numbers add up to 9-11 playoff mark and 1 title. Im sure Peyton would trade in a few yards and TDs for a few less bonehead key Ints in the playoffs. Bradys numbers arent too shabby. Still, you can take the numbers and fantasy titles...i prefer playoff wins and SB titles ; ).

cool your a pats or brady fan but it doesn't matter. is eli manning better than dan marino? is joe flacco and trent dilfer equal to peyton since they all have 1 ring? i don't judge how good someone is based off of rings. if michael jordan never won an nba championship he was still easily the best player in nba history

Im a football fan first, a Pats fan second and a fan of the QB position. Then a Brady fan after that. I root for the team in what is the ultimate team sport. Let it go youre sounding silly again with that stuff. Jordan is great, Lebron is great...eatablished. Now i guess we go off of titles, mvps, etc. WTF else are we suppose to do. Yes the rings do count! Jeezus!

how old are you? like 16?

Frankly I'm more defense oriented, and the NFL's hostility to defense has seriously dampened my overall enjoyment of the sport itself. I am no fan of the NFL and yet there is no competition in the format of a league that provides a level playing field between offense and defense. I am Cowboys fan first, and really nothing else after, except an admirer of the abilities and class of particular players.

Im an old man actually. Maybe im starting to lose it lol.

well i'm in my 30's. i still just think its stupid to say "oh peyton is this bad in the playoffs". even if peyton went 20/20 for 500 yards and 4TDs with no INTs if the defense allow the other team to score more points its doesn't matter if manning was perfect

Thank you.
But not trying to turn this into another Brady / Manning arguement.
My point is his 0-4, no hiesman, no title. Do those sound like things that go along with a no. 1 Pick? Id say no...hence overated. Just like his playoff record...not what youd think of when you think of someone who gets the label of one of the greatest ever.

Like it or not atleast i throw out factual stuff and not idiotic things like Peyton had nothing to do with the Colts playoff / SB success...like some say about Brady and his likes.

Been down this road enough...foolish to argue.
Bottom line is if i had one QB that i could pick in NFL history to teach my child the art / mechanics of throwing a football- its Peyton maybe Marino.

At the same time if i had a one game, everthing on the line, one time to win a SB and could pick any QB in NFL hisrory to lead my team...Peytons probably not even in my top 5.

IIRC Tim Tebow was a stellar college football player; he has a hesiman, (technically) two national championships, a fuckton of college records, and is a great leader, and many "college football experts" claim he is arguably one of the goat. And yet he wasn't drafted number one or done jack shit with his NFL career.

So, I guess what I'm getting at here is, what the fuck is your point, stupid?

There's nothing left to prove for Peyton.

And if Tebow went on and had some success but was 9-11 in playoffs 8 one and dones...we most likely wouldnt be calling him "the greatest".

I know there are other factors but the greatest players almost always have winning playoff records. "Peyton has nothing left to prove", wtf really? Tell that to the Denver fans and critics who are expecting a SB. He still has time to change his playoff record for the better cause its not really that good if you havnt noticed, and then maybe my opinion will change.

We all know what Peyton is and i think he may actually win it this year and add to his re`sume. My point is i think he's been overated. I know you disagree and thats fine.

Moving on.

hopefully my jets can show something today to prove they shouldn't be 32nd in the power rankings

IT'S NOT JUST HIS RECORD, FOOTBALL IS THE ULTIMATE TEAM SPORT YOU FUCKING TARD

THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN EVER SAY THAT WILL JUSTIFY STATING HE IS OVERRATED, IT'S JUST STUPID AND YOU'RE COMPLETELY HOPELESS AS A HUMAN BEING IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE

DIE IN A FIRE OF BURNING DIAPERS

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ha Ha Ha. The stats and numbers only count when it benefits him...numbers dont count when it comes to his record right?
Greatness is...when a QB leads a team to a title with an offense that has Troy Brown and f'in Jermain Wiggins as receivers.

OVERRATED...and i did justify it fucktard!

Screw you too!

How so? I properly stated my opinions, the facts etc. If people disagree thats fine deal with it. Im not the one slinging out improper insults etc.

Man Pats fans have got to be worried this season. Playing the worst secondary in the NFL and Brady can't beg a receiver to do anything. Bills can't stop getting penalties and EJ is doo-doo so far, we might have a chance to win!

I don't think Football is credited as a team sport, you never see linemen get credit or get paid when they probably are the most important position in the game. I'd probably say hockey is the biggest team sport, but who knows.

Go bills.

I agree. Yeah this has been a very strange game so far...flukey bounces all over the field. I dont care how these teams stack up...these division games are almost always a battle.
