"I Whisped In The Ear Of The Dead" is ok, but it's not one of the best songs on the CD. The best songs on the CD are the first five tracks and Wind Of Horus IMO.

That's part of my beef with Shrines though....it's definately unbalanced. Although the stuff in the first half is strong (if kinda plain), the end totally falls flat on it's face. That's disappointing really, because the previous albums stay interesting throughout....i'd actually say they get progressively more interesting..

but meh, for the life of me, I can't recall a single second of what the last 5 tracks or so on Shrines sound like!

I remember driving back from college one day listening to a compilation CD of DM I did and I couldn't get over how intense the passge from 2:08 to 2:56 was. I then looked at my speedometer and saw than I was going 60mph down a 30mph road.... Not my style at all...

Ok, so I guess Ill try either Catacombs or Black Seeds first as the these Egyptian interludes (which I have somehow failed to download at random) sound apealing to me. Truth is it will probably come down to which one is cheaper or which one I find used...
