Opeth re-release of GR+ on June 28 !

Wouldn't Roadrunner Records have enough money to buy those songs already so Opeth can release a DVD or Live CD with Older songs?

they probably can and they probably won't.

I thought cds were suppose to be re-released when out of print or years later. I find this incredibly stupid and annoying.

RR is the only label that releases cds again alittle after they've been released. I'm convinced this label is money hungry more than what should is normal. There is nothing wrong with wanting money or wanting cds to sell but this is so damn ridiculous.

It really makes no sense.

I agree. Put out an album, everyone buys it. Suddenly put out a special edition, and everyone scrambles for that. Damn marketing tactic.

I'm actually trying to get the double picture vinyl of Ghost Reveries.
I seemed to find only Orchid and Morningrise and MAYH.
What? Did they release a picture disc of GR? I thought they only released it as black vinyl..o_O

They were released on the day the cd was released and they're limited edition

ppffff...not good enough.

I have school four days a week (8am-1pm) and work a full time job (2:30pm-11p.m.)

work more!

That's insane. I have as much class time as you and I worked 77 hrs a week this summer, but I have other hobbies. And actually buying the regular cds is more than is expected these days...sadly.

The double picture disc appears on The official opeth site and it says it was released by roadrunner themselves so try ordering from them...I haven't found evidence that it exists besides on the opeth site.
It's not sold anywhere. So either it wasn't released yet or it's sold out or I don't know what...

I dont even think its been released, cause I havent seen it anywhere. So I dont understand why opeth.com would list the picture disc in the discography, but not the black vinyl :erk:
But as you say, it might not have been released yet, I dont think its sold out.

OK I got it...there is no picture vinyl for ghost reveries
the pictures I put from opeth.com are the pics of the stickers in the middle of the record and not the record itself
it has one for damnation too but damnation was never released as a picture LP.
so the only opeth albums released as a picture LP are ORCHID,MORNINGRISE,MAYH and Deliverence
