OT - Attn. Wrestling Fans

Well, I know he wanted to retire soon. And, he did get the belt one last time. It's not like they can have a "Goodbye Taker" night due to his character. Maybe this is how Mean Mark Calloway wanted it to go out.

I would be OK with him retiring if that's what he wants. He's done enough for the business and of he wants to take it easy now, he should. I don't know what his personal life or money situation is though. Hopefully he can retire and live comfortably when he's ready.

I just got my "free" tickets to the big NWA 60th aniversary show at phillips arena.
I say "free" because my "free" tickets cost me $9. Fucking ticketmaster and their goddamn bullshit charges.

Yeah I just hate it when free turns out to be not free. On the bright side, me and my 2 friends that are going have decided to dress up as empty seats. That way we will fit in and not feel awkward.

Were you the screaming and crying girl who was all fangirl over Vince? That was...odd.

On a separate note, I think I'll be going to TNA's Bound For Glory since it's going to be 20 minutes from my house.

is that the next tna ppv with the world x cup? i'm ordering it for sure

I've been away for a while, I didn't win any money and it looks like the contest is probably over now.

The following is from J.R.'s Blog. I don't know how much truth there is in this but if it is true, Vince is a HUGE dick!

J.R.’s post draft thoughts…..
Filed under: Personal, Wrestling — on June 24, 2008
As many of you know, I was “drafted” to Smackdown Monday night in the “random lottery”. Obviously that means I will be leaving Monday Night Raw and my long time partner Jerry Lawler.

I am not happy about this surprise development.

I also contemplated calling it a career Monday night and not going to Houston to tape SD.

After speaking with my wife and thinking on this matter until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, I have decided to do the right thing for the fans who care and the talent who care and begin my new assignment.

It has been explained to me that the WWE’s Smackdown tenure on My Network is a high priority within the corporation. Allegedly, my presence is needed in that effort.

Many are speculating about when I learned of this development…the same time those of you were watching at home. I should have detected something with the demeanor of certain individuals either thru their plastic, poker faces or the perceived smirk that I thought I might have seen on some of their faces during the day.

As far as going to Connecticut each week to do Smackdown post production, that’s not going to happen. Either Mick Foley can handle it or the WWE can install a DSL line in my home to facilitate the work.

I will miss working with the King as the wrestling biz is one in which a guy can count his legit friends on one hand…even after a 30 plus year career. King has been like a brother to me….albeit an “older brother”. We will remain friends no matter that our team has been corporately imploded.

I believe that I have been strongly loyal to the WWE no matter the hands that were dealt to me over the years. In my tenure there I have earned a good living of which I am thankful. I will fulfill my commitments that I have made because unlike many in the business, my word is still my bond.

I can’t predict how long my Smackdown tenure will be, but I can promise that no matter how long or short it is that I will do my utmost best while sitting at ringside. I am not the kind of man who will “phone in” a damn thing.

My sincere thanks to all of you who have supported me on RAW over the years. I hope I was able to provide you a memory or two. Hopefully, we can create new memories now on Smackdown.

Based on my professional experiences, I look at each broadcast as potentially my last, which helps keep me motivated. So with that said we begin another chapter in my crazy life in the unpredictable world of ‘rasslin.

I still plan on attending RAW in my home market of OKC next Monday and I hear that tickets are still available. Any one have any extras?

Boomer Sooner!

World Wrestling Entertainment issued the following announcement today:

World Wrestling Entertainment® Suspends Performer

STAMFORD, Conn., June 9, 2008 – In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE® has suspended James Yun (Jimmy Wang Yang) for 30 days for his first violation of the company’s policy.

For anyone who missed Raw this week, here's how the draft went down...

RAW - Rey Mysterio, Batista, Kane, CM Punk, and Michael Cole
SMACKDOWN - Triple H, Mr. Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Umaga, and Jim Ross
ECW - Matt Hardy

This shows me a few things. Number one, ECW truly is a very low priority in the eyes of Vince McMahon. This would have been a great opportunity to beef up the ECW roster a little bit, but only one draftee and they take away thier champion and their biggest star in CM Punk? Number two, there will be some title changes at Night Of Champions. There has to be. As it stands now, the ECW champion is on Raw and Smakdown has both the World Heavyweight Champion and the WWE Champion. Number three, Vince really hates J.R. Ross has made no secret that he was not told about this move and is not happy about it.

There was also another One Million Dollars given away and at the end of the show, Vince gets in a limo and...no wait, the stage collapsed on Vince McMahon in a very tasteless moment a little too reminiscent of a recent tragedy which happened after a TNA pay per view in which a TNA employee was killed.

All I can say is that I hope Vince McMahon had that ending planned before this million dollar thing got started because if he did this as a jab at TNA, he can go fuck himself.

I have decided that ECW is the new heat. Which is too bad. They could've done something different. But, no, Vince had to tame it all down. It's depressing to see Punk not wrestling to his full ability. I saw him wrestle in ROH and he is so freakin' talented. Oh well.

I can't believe they are going with the Vince getting maimed/killed angle again. It just goes to show that it's all about him.

It's too bad about JR. I hate Cole as an announcer.
