overlooked essentials

We've established nothing. Your views of me are only established within your own mind. I can assure you that beyond your own mind I am nothing of what your perception is.

Dude, do you really want to get tooled yet again? Are you some sort of glutton for punishment?

Ok ex-Chuck lover, show me what you got. Prove the subjective to me with big words that inflate your ego. Prove points that nobody but you and a small band of insignificant ani care about.

Man I've missed you these long years we've been apart. Do you miss me too?

Mortification - Scrolls of the Megilloth
Paramaecium - Exhumed of the Earth
Horde - Hellig Usvart

:kickass::kickass::kickass:

and talking about paramaecium, i like the album within the ancient forest so much.

i dunno why people hates white metal just cuz they talk about christ or god and heaven.

that mortification's album is a classic, and who dislike this one, dislike old death metal.

btw, bands like living sacrifice, tourniquet, whitecross and stryper are very good

where can I find that Paramecium - Exhumed Of The Earth?

I can't find any distros that sell it.

You = false

not really. I hate Christian black metal. black metal is supposed to be "scare-your-parents music", not that crap

Mother: oh my dear god johnny, what are you listening to?

Johnny: Horde, mom. but its ok, they're all about praising Jesus.

Mother: very well then, at least my son's being a good boy.

:Puke:

^nice av. Edit: At the guy with the Wormed av not ohiogrinder

My position on Christian Black Metal is that yes, it is Black Metal, but I will probably like it less. For me Black Metal must connect personally to me to really be effective and it's harder to do that when a band is singing about something that I neither find cool nor support.

I'm listening to Abysmal's The Pillorian Age right now and I'm not sure how others feel about this album but I consider it an underrated classic. The pacing of the music is so hypnotic and ritualistic, it just really captures the essence of mystical sounding black metal.

Yeah, I can totally understand this. Personally, I doubt it would bother me since I really don't have strong feelings about Christianity, and I already find the subject matter of most traditional black metal pretty retarded as it is.

The only thing that would really irk me about unblack metal is that it's obviously a parody of black metal, so it's hard to imagine an unblack band as having a real identity or taking themselves seriously. The black metal scene, on the other hand, has plenty of... 'interesting' personalities.

Out of the bands mentioned, I agree with Fullmoon, Arcane Sun, and Kvist. I'm pretty sure most of the people who are really into black metal already know and appreciate Kvist. I've never seen anything bad said about them, and they should come in the top 15 or so Norwegian BM releases of the first wave.

Arcane Sun really suffers from poor distribution, and doomy albums do not ever seem to get the credit they should. I don't even really listen to all that much doomy stuff.

Fullmoon was sort of trendy for a while here, and it should be more popular considering the recent rerelease. It's top-notch for a demo.

Fleurety - Min Tid Skål Komme
Christ Agony - Moonlight

I've heard of VLE but never heard them. I had them in an ebay search forever, and I am not sure anything ever showed up. What'r they like?

It's great stuff, very expressive, atmospheric and emotionaly intense, listening to the whole album actually leaves me feeling pretty drained.

The songs themselves range from black metal, to ambient, to prog and many more, it's a real melting pot of styles. Needless to say it's all a bit experimental and quite unique.

There are some reviews floating around on the net that explain things better than I could, google it and you should find some.

But it's not a parody.

Thanks to Life Sucks for the Electrocution rec. I'm really digging these guys, the production is pretty much perfect on Inside the Unreal.
