yes i see that in film he was a bit upset dudeMr. Tentacle Face said:Uhhh...He plays a lot of stuff in E? He's well good though. I was glad when he had a go at Lars and Jaymz in 'Some Kind of Monster' about them wanting to ditch solos. The trendy bastards
HE IS GOOD HE SEEMS TO WORK WELL WITH HETFIELD LIVEBase Delta Zero said:He's excellent. A student of Satriani, he brought classical guitar to metal. I don't know if he was the first but he's definately one of the best.
It's sad to see such talent go wasted on such mediocrity.
HEY DUDE DID ANYONE SAY HE WAS THE BEST PLEASE DONOT COME ON HERE SO BITTER DUDE TAKE A CHILL PILL :Smokin:Krigloch the Furry-ass said:The most overrated guitarist in metal. period. Yeah he is fucking good, but nowhere near the best.
It's gotta be somewhat hard for Hammett to work with Hetfield as Hetfield uses downstrokes almost exclusively. Though Hetfield's really fast at the down-strokes, this still has to limit him. But yeah, they do well together otherwise.metal paddy said:HE IS GOOD HE SEEMS TO WORK WELL WITH HETFIELD LIVE
WHAT I MEAN IS HE PLAYS LEAD BUT SEEMS TO TAKE A BACK SEAT TO JAMES WHO IS MORE OF A SHOW MAN AND KIRK SEEMS TO NOT MIND THIS BUT I THINK KIRK IS A EASY GOING GUYBase Delta Zero said:It's gotta be somewhat hard for Hammett to work with Hetfield as Hetfield uses downstrokes almost exclusively. BUT IF YOU HEAR STUFF FROM THE 80S AND STUFF NOW THERE ARE DIFFERENCES AND THRASH METAL IS NOT COMPLEX IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE SIMPLE IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THEN DO NOT LISTEN TO IT LISTEN TO SHIT LIKE OPETH DUDEunknown said:My beef with Hammett is he lacks originality. It's all E minor solos...Pentatonic...most of the solos off the first 3 cds sound exactly the same
well my friend metallica are not the band for you find another band :Smokin:unknown said:But if the guy was taught by Joe Satriani, one of the greatest guitarists ever, I would expect more than just typical solos repeated ad nauseam. I didn't say I wanted complexity...I want variety.
no back in the 80s they were a raw band with plenty of energy :Smokin:Scourge of Malice said:I can't deny he played on some bad ass albums back in the day. I'll still give him credit for making me headbang!
