paddys missus would like to know what you think of kirk hammett as a lead guitarist

Kirk could have been in the same league as Satch and Vai with a much better interpretation of music. One is a brilliant example of this as it features one of the best constructed solos of all time which is perfectly inserted into the song but also features technical brilliance. But after that he started playing Pop Metal and now he can't even play.

I will admit dave mustaine had a few cool solos on rust in peace, but that does not make him a great lead guitarist or better than even hammet for that matter.

kirk is a very good guitar player but he is a little overated though. its hard page or hammet. ill come back to you on that one.

Saw Megadeth. Was within shouting distance of Mustaine. Shouted 'Dimebag' at Mustaine in the middle of his 'I was best mates with Dimebag' speech. Dave says for every minute we prolong the speech by yelling we have to stay an extra minute at the end. Shouts of 'play whiplash' enuse.

A few days later Dave gets return email from The Engines of Armageddon telling him no, he can't be in the band. And no, not even if he promises to be our super best friend for ever and ever.

Anyone seen that video of Dave playing with Thin Lizzy in a pub?
