HOLY SHIT!

I thought you didn't like Symphony X? What happened? o_O

OK everybody is entitled to drool and cry:

Acid- "Acid"
Acid - "Maniac"
Acid - "Engine Beast"

I already had these ones as MP3s, but nothing comes as great as listening to them on CD sorry for the downloaders defenders.

NP: Acid - 'Ghostriders'

Just received a nice package from Nuclear Blast:

Nuclear Blast Allstars

Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diaboli (Ltd Ed)

August 2007:

Alice In Chains - Facelift
Alice In Chains - Dirt
Alice In Chains - Music Bank - The Videos

Say what you will but AiC was a great band

Anthrax - The Greater Of Two Evils
I'm not totally feeling these rerecordings, pretty ok still

Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus
Candlemass - Ancient Dreams
Candlemass - Nightfall
Candlemass - Tales Of Creation
Candlemass - King Of The Grey Islands

After seeing them live I finally had to get the classic discs plus the new one... actually let me rephrase that: the classic discs, period. KotGI rules.

John Macaluso & Union Radio - The Radio Waves Goodbye
Not completely ARK #3 but definitely a similar vibe. More of an ambient, jazzy record with of course insanely talented musicians.

Saga - Saga
Saga - Silent Knight
Saga - Network

Here's an underrated band for you, if you like Queen or Rush you just might like Saga. If you like Queen and Rush you will love Saga.

Solitude Aeturnus - Adagio
Bough this one while shellshocked from the Candlemass gig as well, just listened to it once so far and feeling quite neutral about it. Lowe is very good, that's for sure even at this point.

Waltari - Yeah! Yeah! Die! Die! Death Metal Symphony in Deep C
Well, metal meets classical. It's not metal enhanced by classical or vice versa, I think the balance is really good on this one.

Candlemass - Ancient Dreams
Candlemass - Nightfall
Candlemass - Tales Of Creation
Candlemass - King Of The Grey Islands

Saga - Silent Knight
Solitude Aeturnus - Adagio

Great stuff, I should go and recheck that Saga album, I recall it has a song that kicked my butt in my youth.

ICARUS WITCH - Capture the magic

One cool thing about this thread is being introduced to new bands & finding something you really like.

kittybeast seemed to be onto something with Icarus Witch so I decided to check it out, Good move. Classic 80's style metal with strong song writing. These guys stay close to there roots, No vocal grunts & overly fast double kick drum to try & be modern sounding.

Check these guys out.

Fav. track "Soothsayer"

HOLY SHIT!

I thought you didn't like Symphony X? What happened? o_O

Russell Allen Solo album kicks my ass, so I listened to the one Sym X CD I do have (Odyssey) and decided to do a blind buy on the new release as the reviews are great. I'm enjoying it. They didn't blow me away and make me an instant fan girl but I am trying to expand my horizons. ;-)

Great stuff, I should go and recheck that Saga album, I recall it has a song that kicked my butt in my youth.

I'm guessing that's either "Don't be Late" or "Careful Where You Step", great songs indeed and good representatives of that early SAGA sound. They've released a couple of excellent albums in the recent years too, Network and Trust in particular are worth checking out. The keyboards are still there in abundance and the guitar sound is a bit heavier as well.

Phantom-X "Rise Of The Phantom" (thanks to PMR to brainwash me into them)
Phantom-X "Storm Riders"
Fueled By Fire - "Spread The Fire" :headbang::headbang: (awsome fucking thrash)
Heaven & Hell - "Live! Radio City Music Hall"

I trade Nightwish "Once" for Loudness "Devil Soldier" (new) and Saxon t-shirt (of ourse paying some exchange).

Until the time I read this, I was a little scared with what you asked.

I meant I paid less of the total price since they received me the Nightwish album in $5.50.

I won't pay is spices :OMG:

The only recent album I got was:

Sargeist - Satanic Black Devotion

Wish I didn't have so much CC debt to buy more albums.. my buying list gets bigger and bigger...

VA- "Evil Lives A True Metal Tribute To Black Sabbath"
Rick Wakeman - "The Burning"
Beto Vazquez Infinity - "Flying Towards The New Horizon"
Solitude Aeturnus - "Hour Of Despair" (DVD+CD)`
VA - "Larga Vida Al Volumen Brutal"
Poisonblack - "Lust Stained Despair"
