i'll im saying is that GR is more predictable than other Opeth albums. it's not as spontaneous in terms of songwriting. the term "formulaic" is almost impossible to use correctly in terms of music, because all music varies and, of course, doesnt follow a perfect formula. however, GR is by far the least spontaneous of opeth albums and the most predictable in terms of song structure.
