Face-Huggers

facehuggerse3.jpg

after all, I would not want to pass up the opportunity to have Lars, Claus, Tess, and everyone else taking a picture/video of you doing the face hugger for a solid 5 minutes.

Well - you already missed that once. Just ask Justin (Mosquito) He was sure to have the camera rolling every chance he had last year....:Smug: And lars was sure to keep me in "hug mode" until everyone got a good shot :erk:

Not only am I bad about looking....it doesn't help that I have big hands :erk: Soooo - I'm not good at getting other people to look either cause its SOOOOO obvious! geez - i was already self-concious about my hands....thanks for rubbing it in!

i'm gonna be practicing, so all of you that have been against me in this thread - LOOK OUT!! :heh:

Brother-in-law: This thread has gotten off topic and I apologize  So - I think maybe you should tell us all another band to get it back on track!! :headbang:

Hey Lars, will Claus's Jug Band be playing????? If so I will be there no matter what. Anyway I am working on attending, gotta get approval from my better half, and if I am real nice and get her a super nice Valentine's gift I will be there. Just kidding, we are as we speak checking airfares, and if I find a good one, which I think I have, count on one redneck Texan to be there in the audience.

The next 2 bands for ProgPower Scandinavia 2008 have been announced:

It's with great pleasure we can now announce the next two bands for ProgPower Scandinavia 2008.

Nostradameus from Sweden will be the band to kick off the entire festival Friday October 31st. A fantastic live band that unites full-speed-ahead power metal, classic metal anthems, tons of energy and a good deal of technicality. The bands made one of the best power metal discs in 2007 with the awesome "Pathways", and went straight on a European tour with Jon Oliva's Pain to great success all around. With the next album due sometime in 2008, this is the perfect band to get our festival started out.

Raintime hailing from Italy is second band on stage Saturday November 01st. In spite of their young age (both as individuals as well as a band) they clearly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in 2007, due to their amazing "Flies & Lies" album, gaining huge praisal from media and fans all around the world. A unique mixture of modern day melo-death metal and more powerful progressive music, that will attract an audience from all the different scenes within the heavy metal genre.

Okay Claus quit teasing us, I have always wondered if Nostradamus ever played live, now I know. Plans for an anniversary trip are in the works as we speak. Just give me the name of a good hotel in Copenhagen, one that is close to the venue.

John, my friend - put those glasses back on ... it said NOSTRADAMEUS - not Nostradamus :)

It's NOT the project-metal-opera with the dude from Brazon Abbot, it's the Swedish power metal band. www.nostradameus.com - total kickass metal!!!

I am Old, forgive me, even with glasses I can't spell, Oh Okay now i see, (two Pair of glasses) I will check them out, but you know in a way I am disappointed, but hey you da man and know your music. I can't wait to see this show.

Hurry up and announce Morgana Lefay then already!

Shit, though, the four bands we know so far kick ass :D I wish I had the money to travel to this.

Perhaps I'll rob a bank if you hurry up and announce Morgana Lefay in time for me to get everything situated.

Sorry John, I couldn't help myself from teasing you :)

Oh, the entire line-up is in place now, just got the confirmation from the last band today, so all 10 bands are ready, yay!!!!

Hey no problem my friend, with all the kidding I have given you it is only fair i get some in return. ALL TEN ARE CONFIRMED?????? WOOOOOOHOOOOOO will i be surprised by any one of them. And by the way, it looks as if the trip is about 75% a go. The only thing we have to ensure is if my wifey can get that week off. Airline tickets, no problem, in fact they are rather cheap compared to flying to Atlanta only. So will you pick us up at the airport or maybe send Lars. hehehehehehehehehe, i guess we can take the train or a cab. Gotta brush up on my Danish.

There's actually a huge chance I'll make it to the festival this year. So far, the bands are excellent and the date is perfect. I wanna see the rest of the roster though.

Good job once again Claus. See ya in May! =)

We're extremely happy to announce the first two bands for ProgPower Scandinavia 2008.

Anubis Gate from Denmark is a band that should appeal to both the power metal and the progressive metal audience with their mixture of old school heavy metal riffs, big melodies and sci-fi conceptual lyrics. ProgPower Scandinavia 2008 is the first confirmed show for this band in their current line-up, featuring new vocalist Jacob Hansen (ex-Invocator, Beyond Twilight), also known as one of the most respected producers on the worldwide metal scene. Anubis Gate will be playing as second band of the night on Friday October 31st.

Cloudscape from Sweden will be opening the show on the second day, Saturday November 1st. Their music is that of a highly melodic metal band with a dark feeling to it (that is very typical of Swedish bands) and some progressive touches here and there. Their 3rd album "Global Drama" will be released in 2008. Having performed earlier on to great response at both ProgPower UK and ProgPower Europe, it was clear to us that we needed this band to be present at ProgPower Scandinavia as well.

At the same time we're also very proud to be able to welcome two futher sponsors to our list of great companies we're working with on making ProgPower Scandinavia the best metal festival in Denmark:

Carlsberg Beer
Coca-Cola

Great start Claus! Last year was a great lineup, now if Pagan's Mind and Circus Maximus are part of your confirmed lineup, well it's just give us 2 more great reasons to visit Scandinavia... :headbang:

And here we are yet again with the announcement of the next two bands to perform at PP Scan '08.

"Gather Ye Wild" is one of the song titles of this amazing Danish/Swedish band, Wuthering Heights. A blend of top-notch musicians from as diverse bands as Astral Doors, Lions Share, Loch Vostok, Pyramaze and Manticora, that will now be gathered for one of their rare performances (and first in Denmark since 1999). Wuthering Heights is the band that mixes so many beautiful music styles into one perfect diamond of sounds, and with the ever-relevant lyrics of musical mastermind Erik Ravn, this band is an audience favourite no matter where they perform. We expect them to be so too at ProgPower Scandinavia 2008.

To light up a dark Copenhagen in November, we have summoned the sun all the way from California in the form of one of this Worlds most equilibristic and technical bands - Zero Hour. A band that has played on both the American and the Dutch versions of ProgPower. Why should the Scandinavians be robbed of the chance of watching this amazing band? With the twin brothers Jasun and Troy Tipton on bass and guitar, the extreme shredding is secured. With Mike Guy to keep the rhythms alive and the great voice of Chris Salines (ex-Power Of Omens) to top the cake, the energy and musicianship of Zero Hour will secure a show that will not be forgotten at The Rock and in the minds of the audience.
