ProgPower USA's "Mid-Week Mayhem" Announcement

This is so gonna rule! Better put in now for some extra vacation time! Rock on! Just when you thought it couldn't get any better than Midnight! WOW!

Pagan Maximus will kick off the show with an acoustic jam.

:worship:

Mindcrime will then follow with a performance of "Operation: Mindcrime" in its entirety.

:worship:notworthy

(Promoter Glenn Harveston has banned all Queensryche songs post-Promised Land era).

p.s. Will I be banned if I like Q2K? *ducks*

I actually liked the song "Right Side of my Mind", but the rest of the CD was a huge disappointment for me.

Can't wait for Wednesday night...this is going to be awesome!!!

I am sooo there!!! Just added the extra night to the hotel room!!! You are making my first time at PPUSA so fantastic!!!! Just hope I survive!!!!! Now, how do I make the next 8 months fly by????

I'll either go to this gig OR the Thursday night show, but 4 nights sraight for me is no longer a valid option on several levels, regrettably. Have a blast, y'all!

Man! Always the good stuff for the Self-Employed, retired, or the locals. Schleppers like me have to settle for the stuff on Fr/Sa.

Super Awesome! As exciting as the Pagan Maximus sounds, I really can't wait to see Mindcrime! I HAVE to leave early enough in the morning to make sure I don't miss this for sure!

BTW, Happy New Year to all!

ProgPower USA's "Mid-Week Mayhem" will return to The Loft on September 9th to commence the week's traditional festivities.

Pagan Maximus will kick off the show with an acoustic jam. The set will feature members of both Pagan's Mind and Circus Maximus on stage together for the first and only time. Fans can expect unique versions of songs from each band's perspective catalog as well as favorite covers.

Mindcrime will then follow with a performance of "Operation: Mindcrime" in its entirety. The Queensrcyhe tribute band features Chris Salinas (Zero Hour) on vocals.

Fans can then take the spotlight as "Live Queensryche Karaoke" will continue with Mindcrime. Fans, band members, and "surprise guests" will then join the band on stage to perform songs all the way through "Promised Land" (Promoter Glenn Harveston has banned all Queensryche songs post-Promised Land era).

Tickets information will be released at www.progpowerusa.com in the coming weeks.

I haven't looked at this forum for about a week, but Orbweaver told me the news. I was pleased to hear about Pagan's Maximus, but I admit I wasn't crazy about the news concerning Mindcrime. I thought to myself, "You mean to tell me there isn't a single original band good enough to play the Wednesday night show this year? Hell, Katagory V would probably charge less than a tribute band!" Then I read the announcement for myself. What Orbweaver failed to mention to me is that Chris Salinas is the vocalist. That will kick all forms of ass!

In addition, I must give mad prog props to Glenn and Mindcrime for making it a pre-Hear In The Now Frontier karaoke set. I'm calling dibs on "Walk In The Shadows!"

Stay metal. Never rust.
Albert

The Mindrime stuff will be a riot. I'm pretty positive the material will pulled off better by them than Queensryche themselves could possibly do.

Britt

Yeah - We in Houston are REALLY spoiled since we get to see Mindcrime often. But we have NEVER seen them do the ENTIRE Mindcrime album live!! You can close your eyes while Chris is singing and SWEAR Geoff Tate in his prime was there!!
