Project Studio Build

should have put your central station at the bottom! now you have to reach up high to adjust your volume.
Nah, I have the remote. The Central Station is the only piece of gear I'll virtually never touch :heh:
I just didn't put it on the desk because I'll have to wrap up all movable parts (cables, remote etc.) soon, anyway.. at least if I don't want them to get super dusty.
You think they deliver desks to the states?
Haha, I don't know - you can contact them through contact@wavenature.de
But the shipping would be ridiculously expensive, just like shipping an Argosy to Europe.

Right on! Forgot about the csr.
:Smokedev:
shit is lookin good so far man! love the desk.
Thanks dude :headbang:
I'm so excited, it's finally beginning to look like a studio..

looks sexy so far :D
It looks fucking awesome, dude! Good luck
Thanks guys :)
I'm waiting for the material which stops the hemp / glaswool from dusting/getting full of dust, can't put in the insulation material before that..
the cloth was supposed to arrive today, but didn't. At least not yet.
The electrician will do the first steps on sunday (just lay down the cables) so I can go on. And the windows will be mounted on 17th december.

My left rack is complete btw:

Edit: Ah fuck waiting, I started putting in the isover stuff. The mentioned breather felt should arrive tomorrow anyway.
The cords you see guarantee the first layer of glasswool has a 10cm distance from the wall.

Eesh, why the Great River up so high? Gonna be a pain whenever you have to tweak it, no?
Well I'm a bit near-sighted so I have to lean forward every time I want to see either the things on the screen or the knobs I'm tweaking anyway, so....

Nah, I can reach it when I lean forward pretty comfortable, but you're right.
I'll put it in the slot between the Octamic and the S-Phone.
I actually don't know why I put it there in the first place, perhaps because I thought it would look strange to have 2 rack panels in a row.

Speaking of the breather felt in my last post.. I just came home and someone placed it in front of my frontdoor.
Strange time of day for a package being delivered (between 18:30 and 20:30 in the evening obviously).

Major fucking progress :headbang: I'm totally exhausted now, but it was worth it.
I worked on my own today and everything takes 10 times as long.. Especially the big pieces of cloth.
Note that it's not the "final" surface, but just a layer of cloth to prevent crumbs and dust from falling out of the glaswool and the other way round..
those things should absorb sound and not dust

So that's covered with the hemp fabric correct? Lookin good man!

-P

You should cover that with grille cloth and slap Marshall logos all over it. Advertise it as "integrated stack technology".
Haha, they really look like guitar cabinets
It actually says "Rieselschutz" on the cloth, which means "ripple/trickle protection".. and Rieselschutz is one of the funniest words I ever heard :kickass:

I'd like to do all the isover-work but I have to wait until the cablework is done (most probably sunday), I'm also still waiting for my multicore..
So this is the only thing I did today:

Goddamnit. The windows were supposed to be installed on friday. Guess what, it was too cold and now I'll have to wait until next year :( *cry*
I hope it will be >0°C in january at least a few times.

I continued the glaswool and trickle-protection work. I know it looks as if I installed the frame with the ripple protection the wrong way around.
It's right, though. And I know it looks like shit but as you should know by now, it won't be visible in the end.

Stuffed in another two packages of Isover:

sucks about the windows dude
Yeah. A lot  Still no news on the windows.
I can't continue with the whole framing stuff until they're mounted. Goddamnit.
Did some more cablework though, and I started to build the monitor stands.
I just realized they're a bit too high so that's really cool and I don't hate myself for it at all. True story.

(here you see the multicore crossing the eating room to the liveroom)

The white colour is just the ground coat that's why it looks crappy. The stands are gonna be matt black :Smokedev:
