Question to all the Ulver fans - what are you thinking?

Maybe we should do this again, the problem is that last time we did it I included pretty much every metal album ever made, so it would be kinda redundant to pull the same shit again

True. It was a cool thread though with the results. It should be bumped.

Hey you know where you find the most old school Metallica being played? Mighty Ducks games. Seriously, I went to a Ducks game a few weeks ago, and Master of Puppets, Orion, and I think even Battery came on several times. Pretty rad.

It's funny as fuck to see traditionalist oldschool types constantly having trouble wrapping their heards around the notion that people might think fucking differently than themselves  The tired old "HEAVY METHUL!!1" classics of the 80s aren't going to automatically steamroll any metal- or non-metal band in 2006, simply because of all the stuff thats happened since then. I mean, if you found a board full of narrowminded oldschool fucks and sat around circlejerked to RtL and Powerslave all day, fine, but that's not what music means to a lot of people these days.

The point is that they never where, and never are going to be "tired" or "old".

Time-fucking-less.

metallica doesn't impress me anymore. they played fade to black on the radio today. doesnt pack the same punch.

im not stuck on the nostalgia bands. black sab owns maiden and metallica though

so which is worse:

a) ending on a metal-as-fuck album and then playing trance dance music for art fags

or

b) suing your fans and still trying to be metal when you're really just a washed out poser

"Lost in Moments" + "Porn Piece" + "Nowhere/Catastrophe" = winner
I didn't think that you would like that album at all actually. I agree with your post 100% , but add Hallways, and Future Sound of Music yes
