Radiohead Vs Porcupine Tree

good lord shadows.. angst and whining? obvious rehash from other albums?
you clearly didnt even give it a proper listen. ill give you the obnoxious singing part, but the others are way to sketchy.

vicarious = lateralus
the pot = undertow
rosetta stoned = aenima
right in two = angsty faggotry, lmao "silly monkeys" what a passive aggressive pussy bitch maynard is

The hatred is so apparent because people just want to be a part of the crowd.

Did any Aussies here see Countdown last night? I'm sure I saw OK Computer rate a mention in the top 10 albums of all time for Australians.

(Dark Side of the Moon got 1st, which is justifiable. Pity the panel was made of fuckheads).

Yeah, I voted for Dark Side because I thought it was the most likely album to get up there out of my collection (if you can call it that). And yeah, the panel sucked. Kram was the only one who seemed to have knowledge of music. But what the hell was Meat Loaf doing at #9?
Edit: And yes, OK Computer was #3

In relation to those 4 points.

1. Don't hear that at all.
2. Hmm. Maybe. Considering the differenct in dates of those songs, I can forgive the band for revisiting that sound. Fair do's if other's can't.
3. Hear that even less than the first one.
4. I actually like the lyrics to 'Right In Two'. Quite clever. Obvious, but clever. I don't quite see how they render Maynard a "pussy bitch".

i saw Tool back in 2002 or so, because King Crimson was actually opening for them...which was the main reason i was attending. I stayed for Tool however...and wasnt terribly impressed. I havent been since by them either.

I put my hands up and say that I don't know anywhere near enough about King Crimson. In fact, can anyone tell me what the best place to start properly (I heard a little and liked it, but don't remember what it was).

What I do know is, much as I love Tool, there's something just... not right about King Crimson opening for them. That feels wrong to me.

And I was very impressed with Tool live, but they didn't come close to being as good as either Radiohead or Muse were this year.

How many pages since the last mention of Radiohead and Porcupine Tree?

Larks Tongues in Aspic and Red are my favourites, they slay...In the court is also a classic. Then get Lizard to hear a different(but still great) KC album. Not a big fan of the belew-era Crimson so i can't really make a comment about their 80's stuff...
