Technically it's "ivy" not "ivory", which is illegal. Unless you're talking about soap.

I think that "Amid" is great...the first 6 songs on that CD are just brilliant (although after "Chorus of Jasmine", the disc does become a little static). It is also the first music that I heard from ND (Amour of the Harp), so that CD is what got me hooked onto their music. Also, "My Agony, My Ecstacy" is one of my favorite songs from ND.

Quite frankly its a brilliant doom metal album. Guessing by your list, you're not into that as much. Amid from start to finish is crushing heavy doom. The guitar sound i think is the best of all the albums. Some of the riffs on this album are absolutely awesome. Also, the female vocals are extremely well done. When i want to listen to something absolutely crushing, i'll pull on amid. Novembers Doom might be getting faster, but Amid will always be their heaviest album. It's not my favorite, but i think its definitely their most underrated. And i think to welcome the fade is by far the most overrated.

I think that you are right. The Pale Haunt Departure is far better than TWTF in my honest opinion.

Agreed ...
TPHD > TWTF (Though I have NO problems with TWTF at all, it's just that TPHD are one of those rare albums which I find flawless from beginning to end).

Well, it's just a matter of....who decides exactly what something should rate as? If an album or band or song, etc., doesn't click with your tastes but it seems to click with other's, then it becomes "overrated", and when the opposite is true then it's "underrated". I dunno, it's not a big deal really, I realise that it's how alot of people think and perceive things. I just think that too often, people throw those terms around way too easily, where everything out there that they don't like becomes "overrated" and so on. This isn't really directed at Wolftribe. It's just my thoughts about the subject in general.

On a slightly separate note, what is really interesting about threads like this one, is that you can see how differently people feel about music, even from one particular band. The lists posted so far vary pretty greatly from one another, and that's cool to see. I like the fact that different people connect with our music in different ways, from different albums/eras, and so on. Just goes to prove that there can never really be a "definitive" list of "best to worst". It all boils down to each individual's personal taste and connection to the music.
