Rap/Hip Hop

Yeah, I only listen to rap with a strong message. I can't listen to rappers who talk about their cars, money, bling, etc.

You mean like Ludacris? I've heard people love him & hot white chicks masturbate to that little booklet that comes with his albums. If he were a band I would have put him in that 5 bands you want to DIE thread. I remember him vaguely being in that movie Crash that was kinda good, but he contributed nothing to the movie & is nothing more than an ugly pop-icon.

Only good rap album I ever like was DMX's first album & this Canabis album I had. DMX rapped about shooting niggahs but the album had a decent structure for a rap album & you could understand him. I've only had I believe 5 rap in my whole life, no joke. I even remember which albums I had. I was coaxed into buying rap album by a couple of friends in 9th grade & it was very short lived, thank god.

Ludacris is ludicrous

I've been listening to Gravediggaz a lot lately. I think they're probably my favorite rap group.

6 Feet Deep is a great album. Their other stuff is a lot weaker though.

My all time favourite hiphop album is still Liquid Swords by GZA. Brilliant album. Too bad all Wu-Tang material (group and solo) since Wu-Tang Forever has sucked horribly apart from some of Ghostface's solo albums. So much talent going to waste there.

Have you heard Nigga Please by ODB? Awesome album. Twisted as hell. His first album is also good.

I'll have to check out that GZA album, I could do with some new hip-hop.

The UK hiphop / grime has also been really interesting over the last few years. Wiley, Dizzee, Flo Dan etc. all worth checking out.

Not sure if I've posted here yet.

I like a bit of rap and hip hop. I'm into some of the old classics like Public Enemy, Eric B. and Rakim, De La Soul etc....then I find myself really enjoying the 90s stuff such as 2pac, Dr Dre, Snoop Dog, Notorious BIG, etc.

Some of the newer stuff is good, but thats few and far bewteen. Stuff like 50 Cent is only really good for comedy value, or if it has a catchy beat. That said, modern artist such as Dizzee Rascal and The Streets are both mint. Seen them both and had a great time.

...and nobody has yet mentioned any Bay Area rap like E-40, B-Legit, The Click, Spice-1, Celly Cel, Mac Mall, Mac Dre, Too $hort, The Dangerous Crew, Ant Banks, Bad-N-Fluenz, Keak da Sneak, 3x Krazy, The Hieroglyphics, Zion I, The Coup, Paris, Living Legends, Andre Nickatina, RBL Posse, JT the Bigga Figga, San Quinn, Guce, 11/5, Totally Insane, UDI, etc......
