ENDING QUEST - The Summoning Compact Disc
OK, I'll check it! I bought it from Hammerheart Records, a Dutch label/distributor. If the CD appears to be faulty, I'll contact FDA Rekotz for a replacement disc.
Some people have complained about a noise in The last track "The Lament Configuration", please check if your cd works as it should!

I keep forgetting to write this, but ive searched serbian metal forum and people there really, really like The Summoning and say you guys managed to pull out a great old school swedish death metal without sounding like Entombed wannabe. And poeple in general complimented solos and riffs.
Listening to the disc now and indeed seems there's some noise in the last track that's not supposed to be there.. I'll contact FDA Rekotz for a replacement disc.Fuck yeah! The guy at FDA Rekotz is a very nice guy but I think he is in over his head when it comes to running a label....we only got the cd and booklet from him, not any cd cases or inlays and on top of that every cd I know of has a faulty last track...to bad really
I just got a reply from Rico:Yeah I know fucking mess...label doesn't seem to care either
I replied:this background overtone at the last song you can find in the whole pressed edition. If there will be a second press, we will care about a new audio master. It was simply too late to send the whole amount back to the plant, because the CDs was already sold in markets etc.
In the meantime, can you guys offer me an mp3 of the track without background noise?Hi Rico,
Thanks for your reply.
I see. But if it's a mistake of the pressing plant, then you can still demand a repress. It's damaging for the reputation of your label if you just keep selling cd's knowing that they are faulty.
Then a suggestion, if possible, offer affected customers a download link to a 'clean' version of the track so they can still enjoy the track without the annoying background noise.
Thanks and cheers,
Martijn
