As the title says, post some albums that you think people should hear. Or, ask for recommendations yourself! (This came from Ocelot's "No idea" thread lol)

I recommend everyone should listen to "Sole Lord" by Hull. It came out in May and is a great Doom/Stoner metal album, and one of the best albums I've heard this year! :kickass:

EDIT : Topic title typo. FAIL.

Sarcofago - INRI
Desaster - Hellfire's Dominion
Demolition Hammer - Tortured Existence
Razor - Evil Invaders
Vio-lence - Eternal Nightmare
Cannabis Corpse - Tube of the Resinated
Onslaught - The Force

Carcass - Heartwork (Death)
Alestorm - Captain Morgan's Revenge (Folk/Power)
Electric Wizard - Dopethrone (Doom)
GWAR - War Party (Thrash)
Iced Earth - Night of the Stormrider (Thrash)

No one loves you Keenan

 just kiddin man

Acid Bath - When the Kite String Pops
Crowbar - Crowbar
Corrosion of Conformity - Deliverance
Celtic Frost - Monotheist
DoomSword - Let Battle Commence (it's a mediocre doom metal album, but the viking theme makes up for it sometimes)
King Diamond - The Puppet Master (King makes damn good concept albums, this one is about a man and his lover who are grotesquely turned into puppets by the "Puppet Master" to be used in his show)
Mercyful Fate - Don't Break the Oath
Mercyful Fate - Time
Down - Over the Under (Great Hard Rock/Sludge Metal record)

I will definitely check out these albums when I get a chance.

Opeth - Morningrise. (A great album if you can get past the fact that ALL the songs are 10 minutes + and that "Black Rose Immortal is 20 minutes)

I'd post in here but er, it's kind of like a 'post your favourite albums' thread at the moment.

Anyone want any recommendations? You know, bands in the style of blah blah? Black metal like this? Death metal like that?

Ok... Anyone know any good albums like Ulver - Perdition City?

That if you've not heard it. I need more.

You won't find another album like that within 'metal' - I'm not majorly into Ulver, but they're pretty unique. Especially for a band who fall into the 'metal/black metal' catogory. From what I've heard Perdition City is like, downtemo/experimental/ambient jazzy trip-hop. Very good, but I can't really help you haha

^ That post was full of WIN.

I want some death metal, but no gore lyrics..... Possible?
