Recommend me some Emotional Death Metal

dunno if you're familiar with them, and while not entirely death metal, Aeternus' first three releases are as emotional as they are bludeoning

^ Listen to him. ^

EDIT: I think you are looking for death metal which is "EPIC." I could be wrong though. Death Metal is a bad genre to define as "emotional" unless it falls into anger, etc. However, Epic Death Metal has a way with transcendence which "emotional" music usually gives. *shrug*

Thanks for the recommendations, I am very familiar with Aeternus \m/Beyond the Wandering Moon\m/, disillusion, primordial etc. I haven't heard Hollenthon or Void of Silence though.

I also relise what I asked for isn't exactly easy to find. Which is precisely why asked for emotional death metal. I want to hear something new being done with the genre that hasn't been beaten to death(damn puns), like the whole "brutal" thing.

You should definitely check out Reclusiam. Their demo is absolutely amazing. I think it's available for free on their website still.

Yeah I'm checking it out anyways, but I am mainly looking for Death Metal. Keep the recommendations coming though.

Something that is more akin to Black or Doom Metal but used in a Death Metal context.

And they're Funeral Doom/Death Metal, so I figured what the hell. :D

I'm sure you're familiar with the band, but Morgion's first EP is greatstuff, and might be similar to what you're looking.

Also try some Mindrot.

Autopsy - Mental Funeral
Visceral Evisceration - Incessant Desire For Palatable Flesh
Bethlehem - Dictius Te Necare
Winter - Into Darkness
disEMBOWELMENT - Transcendence Into The Peripheral
Vital Remains - Dawn of The Apocalypse

Line treaders :)

Melodic death usually sounds emotional. Bitterness, Holymarsh, Infliction, Ablaze My Sorrow, Eucharist, etc.

Recommend me some more I have heard most of those.

My guess is you don't really want death metal, then. Obviously the big answer is Lykathea Aflame, but I know you've heard them and like/love them.
