I reccomend Arcturus' first album, Satyricon's "Dark Medieval Times" and "Nemesis Divina".

Best album: Hvis Lyset Tar Oss

Best collection of songs that composes an entire album but isn't as good as an entire cohesive work: Burzum + Aske

Ok thanks, but what about Filosofem? I've heard much praise for that album.

Very good album, but I feel that Hvis Lyset Tar Oss is a little better. Tomhet is also a bit better than Rundgang... because it gets amazing towards the end, whereas the latter never really evolves very much out of the original few notes.

Last time I was at Newbury Comics (last Saturday), the only available Burzum album was Hliðskjálf, so you may be out of luck from there.
