You're silly.

Actually, I haven't heard "The Legacy", but "The New Order" is alright and so is "Souls of Black", but I wouldn't put them close to Blind Guardian's best.

ONLY ALRIGHT??!?!?!

usually you have pretty good taste dude! what went wrong when you were listening to Testament? you must have had carrots in your ears or something ...

Accuse you of a crime
Sentenced to endless time
The price you have to pay
Won't get AWAY!

Testament has never transcended mediocre, really, though The Legacy has some spectacular moments, and The New Order here and there, though overall suffers from being too complacent.

Yaeh, the only Testament album really worth while, is definitely the first. Can't really put my finger on why, but this is just a band that never rubbed me the right way.

I sampled Into Eternity's new album "The Scattering of Ashes" and was mildly impressed. Any thoughts on it?

Quite good. Better than their s/t album, but not as good as Buried In Oblivion due to BIO's fuller sound, increased memorability (though this one is nothing to scoff at, and you'll listen to it PLENTY), and better drumming.

I prefer Heathen and Holy Moses over a lot of Speed/Thrash. Holy Terror may be lauded as one hell of a Speed/Thrash band but it pales in comparison to these aforementioned bands.

I prefer Morbid Saint over a lot of Thrash. Dark Angel may be a great Thrash band but it has nothing on Morbid Saint.

Dark Angel is great. Time Does Not Heal and Leave Scars are great albums.

As a matter of fact, dark angel are going in my sig right now.

I always found the vocals to be great. I like that sort of thrash better, you know. The metallica-slayer-darkangel-esque vocals, not the blackened sodom kreator etc. type vocals. I am certainly no thrash scholar, and these are all great bands, but I like the other vocal style better.
