Shadows Fall: metalcore or thrash?

I voted other, because they barely exhibit -core elements, and while the thrashiness is more pronounced, they aren't thrash either. Probably thrashy metalcore infused groove metal would be the best way to describe them.

This x 100. The only other thing I'd add to describe them would be "gay".

I had a phase of intense Shadows Fall fanboi-ism for a while, and I still enjoy the first 3 albums. Don't listen to them much anymore. On another note, Brian Fair is a really cool guy. Talked to him about old school and hardcore punk many times.
