Should I listen to power metal?

I guess I should have been more specific. I already like and listen to a lot of the 1980's bands mentioned (Helloween, Manowar, Fates Warning), but I haven't checked out any "new wave of power metal" bands. This is all very confusing (as is any music discussion when you bring in the intricacies of sub-genres), because I just thought bands like Fates Warning were heavy (or classic or traditional) metal.

I'm not a fan of the style but Labyrinth - Return to Heaven Deanied is a fucking good album. I also like some of Sonata Arctica and whoever mentioned old Blind Guardian songs like "Majesty" or Banished from Sanctuary" was right, they kill.

I'll throw in a good word for this band too. I like a lot of power metal, but DragonForce is a band I've discovered only recently, and their music kicks some serious ass. My favorite track I've heard so far is "Through The Fire And Flames" off their new CD Inhuman Rampage. It's blisteringly fast, heavily melodic, and has incredible solos. I believe they have it playing on their official site (www.dragonforce.com).

I dont pay any attention to the lyrics, could be shouting "Turbo is a twat, fuck him fuck him fuck him" over and over again, and I would be none the wiser. I listen to everything for a music not lyrics.
