Should they lose the growls?

Oh my! Don't jinks him! Don't even say that. In some interviews though, he said that it doesn't really feel like it's scratchy when he does it. He doesn't really go into detail though. I know deep down that the odds of your voice not getting mangled when you're a death vocalist are pretty slim. You're growling for a living!

I wondered about Peter. I know Mendez does back up vocals sometimes, but Pete didn't have a mic when I saw them play. What...Pete can't sing worth a shit or something? lol I'm sure he can somewhat, I'm only joking. But, ya never know! With a face like his though...who cares! down with the...((ahem!))

Mike's growls are quite superb IMO.

Well, my friends said Mikael was very relaxed looking while he was growling... as though it required no effort at all.

In that case, he's probably not damaging his voice any more than any other singer.

Obviously, doing a show every day for a month would wear down anyone's voice.

Just want to say I'm glad most people agree that the growls should stay.
I think we can count on that they will too.
But maybe, just maybe... Opeth decides to try an album without them? I still think it would be great.

now if you will take away growling you'll have

OPETH-GROWLING = CLEAN VOICE

and that's not opeth anymore

but you can also do
