I'm that type of guy...a complete man-whore. :Spin:

Hahaha. I just don't want someone to get the wrong impression that I'm single.

Not from Buffalo to the person looking for the Buffalo people but I'm near Albany (NY not Georgia :loco: ). And my football team of choice has always been the Bills since my dad is originally from Buffalo.

DUUUUUDE!!! :tickled: YOU'RE COMING THIS YEAR?! F*ING AWESOME!!!

So, okay.. my addition to the thread. This will be my 4th year at ProgPower. Each year something special has happened, whether romantically or platonically. The first year, I was introduced to someone on another forum and we met for the first time just before PPIII. We had a wonderful time and it was filled with a lot of special memories. We lived 800+ miles apart but we managed to hold together the relationship for just over a year.. which means we were together at PPIV, too. Again it was absolutely wonderful. The kismet could not withstand the distance for much longer after that, but the memories are priceless and dear in my heart, even after moving on.

For PPV, I had a new love in my life.. we had a great time, despite a few spots of turmoil that weekend, but we shared in a lot of fun that none of our friends back home would be able to understand. Again, that relationship is now over. Now I may already know who I'll be attending with, but the beauty of PP is that there are some amazing people from all around the world that I would love to meet and have as friends!!

The whole ProgPower experience really means a lot for those who attend, so when you find new friends or lovers, the experience is amplified. ProgPower has a tendancy to forge bonds between the attendees that you just can't seem to get from many other similar experiences. That's why there are so many people saying "I can't wait to see my family again" in reference to the awesome PP crew!

I actually met two of the three guys I've dated in the past year here on UM. I blame UM for my problems. :loco:

It would be great to hang out with some fellow metalheads this weekend, though I'm fairly anti-social. But I'm still reeling and sad over my break up from Saturday, so fun must be had dammit.

I'd offer myself as a way to spend your time... *laughs* but as Sh0kr0k might well know, I'm no fun... I'm just a boring introvert myself, isn't that right?

The two people other than sh0kr0k who I know from the non-internet, I brought with me to a couple of the previous progpowers are now married, so... I'm not expecting much time out of them outside the concert. As I said before, I'd be more than happy to sit around and talk with whoever doesn't find me excessively boring. Also, Curufin's party might even be something I'd be interested in going to. It sounds really interesting.

You know what?! I'd love it if you hung out with me and my crew this weekend, even if you can only stand us for one round of beers :D

Truth be told, I'll be a tag-along to someone else's posse, and I just went through a killer breakup, so if you want to hang out with a goofy girl and a bunch of people she doesn't know then I'd love to have ya!

Illavarslande: Were you at IV?? We drove to III and despite the permanent ass-cramping from the long haul, we had a killer time!! I still feel for you and Erik having to stay at that old Days Inn! Then again, I couldn't hang out for the parties afterwards :-\ Oh yeah I just remembered you being at IV with Abigail and John. Well, that year was great also! How could you forget?

I've also got the anti-social thing going, so no worries. Some friends from college call me hermit lady. Though when I'm with people I'll usually be social. I just have a bad habit of dropping off the face of this earth for periods of time as I also like my alone time.

For anyone going to the preshow, I'll likely be wearing my "More Cowbell" shirt in honor of Glenn. That or possibly my "Your Retarded" one.

yeah, at least you didn't have to drive... *glares* haha... what I do for my friends... 18 hours of driving without cruise control, both ways. I miss my Civic... I wouldn't trust the car I'm using now for the trip, and southwest doesn't go to Atlanta from Columbus... *sobs*

Hehe, *reveals a bit of his geeky side* I can't wait for transporter technology, we Borg should have developed it a long time ago... what ARE we doing anyway?

And, what parties are you talking about? we were so beat from the drive, that we just went back to the hotel and crashed.

I made the mistake of bringing my boyfriend to 4, and dealt with a lot of that whiny-ass shit. So much so that I swore I'd never bring another "date"... but hey, he loves the music as much as I do and understands that Conception takes precedence over everything. I think I'll be just fine with my "date" this year. lol :D

Shaye

well if you want to get rid of your "date"for a few hours I'd be all over that hot-sweaty making out in the corner stuff with him.... :tickled: :tickled: ofcourse I am joking. I'm happily married and now I just get to look..

I would disagree from a guys point of view when it comes to meeting girls at rock shows.

I won't disagree with what you said... my point was more that *I personally* would focus on the quality over the quantity. I'd rather have 5 kick-ass women that I could become friends or more with, than 100 of them I wouldn't last 2 minutes with before rolling my eyes. :)
