slate 50% off sale..

Anyone who doesn't have Trigger yet should jump on it now.

I just bought SSD EX plus 2 expansion packs the other day.

I have a quick question though...

I very rarely use real drum kits, I mainly programme drums in from my controller keyboard and MIDI pads for articulations. (Although I do have a real kit and triggers.)

Firstly, is using triggers on real drums effectively the same? Like I could record the real drums and use the MIDI hits to trigger my SSD EX samples too, which is what Trigger does isn't it?

Also, can Trigger be used as a virtual instrument like EX?

I'm assuming there must be more to it really, but I must've missed something. I'm just not sure how it will be of benefit to me and how they differ so much really.

Trigger is like Drumagog/Aptrigga, it triggers samples off the midi data you program or have input via triggers on a real kit. The SSD player is a VST instrument which is used for straight programming drums. If all you use is Slate samples and always program your drums, you will be fine with the SSD player.

when do i have to give them my ilok info for transferring? because i dont actually have my ilok yet -it's in the mail.
will i be able to buy this now, and get the license when i have the ilok? cheers.

You can buy it now, then redeem your license code on the iLok site, and download the license to your iLok once you get it.
I did this when we made the FG-X group buy and had no problem!

How long do they hold your license code for? I dont think I'll be able to get an ilok til christmas...
