Looks like a winner once again.
So, does this compliment VCC or make it redundant? EDIT: Just watched the video, putting VCC in the rack makes sense.
One line that scares me is "the ability to purchase additional modules in the future". This will never end! Might be ok if each additional module is $50 - 100 each, as that will make them essentially no brainers.

looks pretty good but i dont have a need for the modules offered right now...
In the last year the only EQ i´ve used its Fabfilter´s Pro-Q which i LOVE and i just have too many compressors

Would love some "preamp sims" like soundtoys juice that has been in development for years..or the new UAD API channel strip that modeled the preamp section
also...a distressor emu... :3

^ Point is recreating a 500 series module. So instead of having 5 EQ and Compressors occupying the slots in your channel it will just take up 1 slot

Also, having the chain in one window will be handy.
I also suspect they're going the Amplitube route, sell the shell with a few core components, then let the end user pick what additional modules they want to buy as they're released.

The main benefit is workflow. This will be so much better than switching back and forth between separate plug-ins when you're trying to dial in a sound.
I suspect the secondary reasoning is that this makes the plug more distinctive and differentiates it from all of the other Neve/SSL/1176/etc/ plugs out there. Plus they can sell new modules down the line, which you know people will go for.

I don't think that has any bearing on what modules they will make. The whole thing just works on a similar modular concept. They could model anything really.
A distressor and dbx 160 would be AMAZING. Make it happen Steven!

Damnit...for the longest time I was like "digital will never be able to replace analog gear for the sound analog adds"...
but since the Kemper, I dunno...seems technology comes reaaaally close nowadays. Which is awesome, if you don't take into account that tunring a knob with your hands feels different than using a mouse or a touchscreen.
VMR seems to become an amazing thing in the future.
