Slate Virtual Mix RACK

I wasn't overly interested at first, but now I'm certainly excited. I wonder how it'll price up. Will you buy the mix rack and get a few rack items included? OR will the modules be additional on top? OR will they sell it like an EX/Platinum thing?

Tell me Slate, Tell me!

First 4 will be included and others will be offered as they go.

Still two weeks left to hit Q1 2014.

Hopefully it's out before Easter at the latest.

Well, most of my mix chains consist of Slate Digital plug-ins these days, after this I might as well bin Waves entirely.

I feel the same. I bought the Schepps EQ, but when I buy Slates I dont know if its going to stay...
The only waves plugins I've been using these days are the bass rider and the CLA 76s...

Speaking of the CLA 76, hate to derail the thread, but is there anywhere you can get them that doesn't cost 400 damn dollars, save for buying the $500 CLA plugin pack?

Am I the only to whom it seems clear, that the reason we haven't received the months ago promised mono VBC's, 6th VCC-console, and the standalone FG-X comp, is that they will be exclusive to VMR?

I'm not bitchin' just asking a question.. Because to me it's seems clear as day that that's what's going on.. And that would be exactly what I would do, were I a sleek and sharp dressed plugin manufacturer from NJ.

From Facebook:
Slate Digital LLC Once we get the FG-X and VCC into AAX as well as release the VMR, we're gonna get the VBC mono versions happening!

I think you're right about 6th VCC in VMR, I saw him mention it on gearslutz.

And a day ago on GS:
I'm testing the newest version of the FG-116 FET compressor today to see if it is green-lit. Fabrice said this is one of the most challenging algos he's ever coded. The release constants on the 1176 are very very complex. Everything else algo wise is done, and then there is a matter of debugging a few things in the rack before going to beta... then release!

Although I'm not sure on the worth of mono VBC? Who has a mono buss? Wouldn't the compressors in VMR handle that?

I use VBC on individual tracks sometimes, where I don't want the effect across a whole group. Sometimes the effect is huge (mu is drastic, but sometimes in a great way), so I'd love mono. I'm guessing the VMR is going to be compressors doing something completely different than the VBC.
