Can't say I'm the biggest snakeskin fan. I've worked with an SLO100 here that was all snakeskin, as well as a Mark IV and in both cases it was a bit blargh. The pattern is garish and reminds me of the deep south (in a not so good way).

As Dylan said, I think a standard black tolex Recto with the silver tread plate still gets me going. Black tread plate is cool too!

The first thing I thought of doing when I saw it on ebay was that if I won the auction the first thing I would do would be to take that skin out. But then as a joke I left it on and now it is an amp with a big charisma

And I must say that I bought it very cheap for what is worth because it seemed that nobody wanted the amp because of the look.
When I saw that it was Dual rectifier number 106 I didn't care about the looks.
