Yeah, I've always seen Blind Guardian as power metal.

Isn't speed metal just a blanket thrown over any metal that is fast sounding? In other words, it is not an actual genre. Correct me if I'm wrong with that.

I had the impression Speed Metal was a more general term encompassing many forms, including thrash. Was gonna say Sadus (been into them a bit lately) but then he said no thrash so...
