Starcraft 2 thread

Dude .. I have been in the Data Center as Blizzard in Cali and i will tell you this its like fucking NASA! Every instance has its own server!
WoW will never die. Its Blizzards cash cow. They could never release another game and pay for everyone's salaries just off what they make on WoW. I will admit Blizzard support does suck in a huge way. But when you have 11miliion people on ONE FUCKING GAME you are bound to have issues.

I am really really hping they get DIII out this year. its my most anticipated game at the moment.

Yeah I really believe it! WoW is fucking huge.
But let's hope that SCII and DIII will take more money to the Blizzard's bank account!
In the end both games have multiplayer game, so this means new servers/more people to play it-> more fucking money.
Sorry but I hate WoW so I really hope for these two new games to bring some fresh air!

Wow = japanese style rpg!

+1 man. I've scheduled to take a month off whenever Diablo 3 is released... WHENEVER. I mean, I will fucking drop an album mid-stream to grind that shit to death.

Starcraft holds some fond memories too... I used to wake up at 5am every morning before school in 8th grade to log onto b.net and play Big Game Hunters with guys from all over the world. The experience was so novel back then because the internet hadn't really fully taken off, and multiplayer gaming was still somewhat of a shiny jewel. Most of the guys were older than me, and there were no 14 year olds to annoy me to shit because.... well, I was the 14 year old.

So you take gaming THAT seriously?
I like comp games, but can't say it would take that much priority for me

Playing Diablo 3 isn't gaming in the traditional sense of the word. You'd be amazed how similar it is to being an AE. Some would say the two are just differently themed RPGs :)

Back on topic: STAAARCRAAAFT :hotjump::hotjump::hotjump:

Aren't there people buying items or characters on ebay, though? I think I've heard some people are doing it.

^ Good thing it's not likely that such a thing could happen with Starcraft. It's interesting how far the craze for digital content will go (people spending real money on stuff like credits for farmville, lady popular, etc and even some real games as well). The bubble will probably burst sometime.

^^ One of the Tower Defense maps (forgot what number it was), Bunker Command, Tank Defense,

BTW, apparently Activision has screwed us (Bulgarian buyers) up. It seems they are going to be selling a semi-localized version that's missing all the cool packaging and instead has the plastic box and dvd only.
Compare to
And the price is still a full 60 euros.

Yeah it's been happening for a long time, though now characters sell for much more than they used to. I hear WoW has Korean gold farmers or some shit who make a living from it.

From what I've read they're nearly always Chinese. Koreans are these guys:

These guys make a living out of playing Starcraft too, but they earn a shit ton more than those gold farmers. Actually, probably a lot more than anyone of us as an AE.
