Contemplating reading The Devils by Dostoevsky. I have it but I'm not quite in the mood to commit to reading a book right now.

Right now i have to read this book for a lit class called The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. Anyone read this book?

I had to read it for Senior year summer reading. Interesting story but I hated the characters. They're apparently making a movie out of it but the directors has to edit the anal rape scene because the Afghans were outraged.

The kind of books I would read aren't ones that just bore the shit out of me, sound like they're from the point of a robot, have long dramatic scenes, and spend the first half of the book just helping you get to know the characters.

I'm done reading The Republic and just got back from a very insightful lecture on it.

Now it's on to Plato's Symposium.

Readin The Republic for the third different class now. Also Uncle Tom's Cabin, random articles about religion/culture and politics, articles about literary theory, and whatever the fuck I'm supposed to have read for my Victorian Literature class...I know we just finished Jane Eyre. I think I'm supposed to read some J.S. Mill excerpts.
