The Clairvoyant - Iron Maiden collaboration

^ yeah it's more like that, I got the time wrong. I am not a lead player also!lol but I can do one or another solo sometimes. Ok I am gonna rework that part. Thanks.

the guitars sound pretty good. could be a little tighter here and there
but as long as the notes are correct I'm cool with it.
I haven't checked all the guitar notes but they seem to fit with the bass alright.

I redid the bass intro cause I felt some note articulations could be improved.
please use the new bass track.

Hey I've got the guitar tracks done. Not the tightest performance I've ever done, so if something is too bad I'll retrack it.

Both are the same, since Reaper let me record directly into flac but I know not every DAW can play it.

uh, that sucks ass. sorry to hear. can't do the synths but nuno initially said he could do the synths if I remember correctly.
on the other hand, monday or tuesday is still fine luismars cause I've got no clue when skaldir or el_gato will be doing vocals.

Damn man you've got that bass sound NAILED! Care to share your signal chain? I'm redoing my bass tracks for the HBTN cover as I really didn't like the sound of the flatwound strings I used, gonna redo it with some steelies.

thanks man. I'm a steve harris nut. he is my idol and I've been trying to learn his style since I started playing bass many, many years ago. he just has the weirdest playing style I've ever encountered but I love it.

signal chain is:

- fender steve harris p-bass (1st generation)
- seymour duncan spb-1 pickups
- rotosound steve harris flats (brandnew, they don't sound good for more than two days unfortunately)
- no post-processing yet

which flats did you use and why weren't you satisfied?

I got a set of olympia flats as I saw them on the cheap, just seem REALLY dull compared to normal roundwound strings, though I guess that's kinda the point as they're meant to be more warm/mellow.

yes that'S what flats are supposed to sound. the rotosund flats have a bright edge to them but still retain that full, warm sound of flats. however it only lasts for like two days as I mentioned. old rounds are a good compromise for that sound except for the E-string which always sucks ass if it's old.

Great work, gang!!

A shame the next tracking session is on the last week of Sept finally so I won't be able to track real drums for this. SHAME.

Good work with the programming. I'm missing some dynamics and tempo changes overall but definitely spot on.

Solos who?

Anyway, downloaded the backing track from Luis link. Expect some shit by tomorrow.

I'm dying to track this.

But I'm scared I won't be able to control it anymoooooaAaAaAaaar!!!

Skaldir, give it a shot too, dude. I'd love to hear your takes.

the backing track doesnt have yet the guitar solo because I have to fix some things in the solo, but I will provide soon as i can the DI´s for this. Thanks Felix and guitarhack, we are all doing a good job :headbang:

Done tracking, who do I submit the track when it's ready to get it mixed? Colonel?

Been listening to the instruments in detail. Frigggin grrrreat, mates. The bass, the drums, the guits. ACE! Can't wait to listen to it with solos and mastered.

Again, great work!

Up the Irons!! :kickass: Just wanna say, I´m following the threads and I´m diggin what you guys doing :) Keep up the good work!

Hey, I remember you singing a maiden cover here before, it was great, don't you give it a go?
