First, try some cutting of the core mids, and if that doesn't totally work, try different amp settings and use at least some HP filtering this time.

Finally got around to doing this. DIY Reamp Box > Tube Screamer > Jet City 333 > Mesa Stiletto cab > SM57. No post processing on the guitar tracks.
