tubecreamer in front of all the amps
2 tracks 5150 + 2 tracks mesa boogie triple rectifier
using the rectifer cab with royer 121 ribbon mic + shure sm57
Jeff, the DI's are great. The tone of the 89's so chunky, yet still so clear. Playing's definitely helping too.
I actually used the same patch that I would've usually used with my 85-equipped guitar with some minor tweaking... I definitely need to get better stuff for tracking DI's.
it was actually pod farm into a power amp because my windsor is getting repaired.
just did it for a little experiment never thought it would turn out decent
Jeff, I'm gonna reamp this too. I haven't mic'd anything yet, but I had the DIs going through the 5150 and cab earlier and checking it out. sounded good
Great DI's and great playing btw! I tried to maintain a smooth KSE like tone, dunno if i nailed it but i am really satisfied with it I used more gain then usual too make it sound really fat. Only did a HP/LP as post processing for rhytmn guitars, lead guitar has slight delay and clean guitars have some chorus and delay.
It might be a bit bassheavy, but that is the backing track, and it's not really about the mix, right?
