Scene was revived a lot thanks to csgo and its gambling with skins.
Also, Guardian (Navi player) and whole Fnatic team wont be playing in the Dreamhack tournament. Both Guardian and Olofmeister from Fnatic have wrist issues and they want to take care of it.
Apparenlty it has to be bad if they want to miss 250k tournament.

Any of you guys looking forward to Dark Souls 3?? I got about 80% through DS2 on mouse and keyboard which it was definitely not optimized for in the slightest but I still fucking loved it. I actually ordered a Steam Controller just for DS3, got it for 30 bucks after buying DS3 can't beat that. Only game I've been looking forward to this year to be honest. I still have my go to's of CS and Dirt Rally but nothing really other than DS3 has interested me for awhile now.
Speaking of Dirt Rally, I know it's not popular here in the states but rally racing is fucking awesome and I know we have quite a few Euro's here which should know about this form of motorsport. I've been trying to be the fastest American on this Finland stage, and getting close! Top 50 world record time and 3rd fastest American. And yes I use a wheel and pedal setup not a fucking controller like a pussy. Realism ftw.

Yea, im looking forward to waste money on one of the most overrated game series ever. I still cant sell my copy of DS2 because nobody wants it. Cancer game.

I remember being world #2 in the French Rally stage of "Colin McRae Rally 2005" back in 2006. Haven't played any games of the franchise ever since.
Well after that they went to the DiRT series which was fucking horrible and arcadey as shit. This is a return to roots, its a simulation with real rally stages. If you liked the old CMR games you should give it a try.

Is it playable without the "wheel controller" or whatever its called? I remember trying out some car games, but they all sucked on keyboard.

If you want to stand a chance in any way other than just playing for fun, you need to use a controller. Using a keyboard for racing games is indeed the suck. An actual wheel will hinder your ability and make it harder (even if it is trve and kvlt, @griev0r!), but a PS/Xbox/whatever controller is what you need.

Not really playable with a keyboard, but a ton of people probably the majority are using xbox/ps4 controllers. I just prefer using wheel/pedals but you can play it with a pad.

Someday I want to have a proper wheel and joystick to enjoy racing and simulator games. I dont think I could immerse myself in this Dirt Rally game without a wheel. But when its on sale ill give it a try.
Also I heard that they are closing Lionhead Studios. My hopes got shattered, now i wont ever see Black&White 3 that would return to its roots. B&W is one of the best games ever and I still play it once every few years. Definitely in my top5 of all time.
