Music is not competition. If you want to really like and listen to 5 bands that is fine. There is nothing wrong or worse about that. It's really hard to find really good cds and movies. Listening to a lot of everything because it's simply good is not really going to make your expirience any better. There is no point in listening or watching anything unless it's done by the best. Listening to 10 bands that are not original or have their own sound is not going to be more significant than listening to 2 really good original unique cds. What's the point in listening to 10 b rated bands that sound the same when you can listen to the gods.

Agreed, mostly. Green Day never really did anything to offend me, it's all the fans who claim they rule the music world that annoy me.

I look like an opeth band member of late facial hair wise. Since they have the 70's porn stache it must not be so bad. Looking like a hippie is cool. Wearing jeans with holes in them and shirts with holes in them is also cool especially when you have goatee and a porn stache.

I'm not like an "eltist" punk fan, but I enjoy bands such the Buzzcocks, Minor Threat, The Misfits, Black Flag, and I think Sid Vicious is a fucking badass.

Haha, I'm also in mock trial. It doesnt take up that much of my time and I get to take a break for the second semester cause of baseball, but I still get credit.

Mine is the least offensive, because Midwesterners have no accent. We sound all sound like Agent Smith from The Matrix.

Also, while I should be posting this in the love thread for relevance, I'll post it here for context: I love coming home from my dead end job, being depressed and stressed out because of putting up with all my coworkers, and then reading this thread and realizing that I'm not as neurotic as I fear that I am.
