Zombies are actually kind of lame. I used to hate them because they are completely pathetic and non-threatening compared to basically every other movie creature/villain. They grew on me a bit thanks to a few above average zombie movies. I'd still rather see just about any other threat on screen than zombies if I had the option though.

I tried to watch RE-Afterlife last night. I don't know if it's just me or maybe I was not in the right frame of mind bu I thought it was so awful I turned it off within 30 minutes. The whole intro was stupid as hell, and looked really fake. Also Wesker's actor was like a piece of cardboard, what a waste of a badass villain. Maybe I'll give it another go tonight
