The Landscape/City thread

the problem with those mountains is that they surround santiago, the city is like a big hole between mountains, and a city with something like 6 million people and fucked up ventilation system means lots of smog :(

but it's still a nice place if you know where to go :)

lol yes, but earthquakes are just to spice things up a bit, :D there are bad places in santiago too, obviously... actually, if someone goes to chile I would say get out of santiago... I post pics of the city because it's the place where I used to live... also, you don't get eartquakes that often, I have 26 years old and I have been in two only, and in one of them I was 1 year old, 8.5 richter, the other one was this years, duh! we do get a lot of earth tremors tho, but those are fun :)

the good thing about spring in chile is that the weather is in perfect balance, you can have a sunny beach and snowed mountains at the same time...

you can go to the north and enjoy a nice day in the beach

or head south and go to some random river and you'll get the same feeling

or go to the mountains to make some snowboard in the morning

and in the evening, go to the beach and watch the sunset + guitar + bonfire

I have done that and it's awesome, plus, in september chile celebrate its independe day and for 1 entire week you're allowed to drink in the streets (plus you get like 5 days of holidays), so everyone is happy in those days :) spring in chile = awesomeness :p

my city is kinda similar, it has mountain surrounding, but not even close to pretty as in Santiago

wtf is this supposed to be?

that's an sculpture that someone from the air force did I think, you know, future design, sky, airplanes and aerodynamic stuffs... blablabla... the cool thing is the big fountain behind the sculpture and the hill right behind it :) this is in the middle of the city, hills everywhere :)

you need some snow and that's it... otherwise the andes has lil' to none vegetation, is just an enormous stone, and you can see in the first pic of the big post I did the smog over santiago, that's not the countryside of the city, you just can't see it because of that fucken dark cloud :(

it doesn't really, it snow like one day in the winter, in some fucked up city in the middle of nowhere, and just some flakes :(
