Anime is such a love-hate thing for me, whereas I love shows like Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo, Excel Saga, and FLCL there is so much shit I can't put up with.

A lot of it's crap.

I really love Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, and Miyazaki's films. I dabble in the others... but a lot of it does suck.

I never like it years ago and don't now. I do remember when it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. I swear it was probably 3 times more popular than maybe star wars.

Miyazaki is one of my favorite film makers, animated or not. He is simply fantastic.

@Astrum, I agree. The OVAs were fuckin' great. Whenever I get the urge to watch the whole series (I own it on DVD) I usually play Trust & Betrayal right after the fight with Shishio so it works into the episode right after the fight where Kenshin is at Tomoe's grave, and then finish it out normally

I'd agree here completely were it not for the awful Kiki's Delivery Service, but due to the really major aiming it at kids (more than he usually does) I guess I have to give it a break.
