can you guys help me with the word "ikke"?
Where exactly in the sentence does it go? It seems like it always goes after the verb. For example, "John er ikke norsk" and "Bente har ikke bil."
But what about when it's like, "Jeg vil ikke ha en kopp kaffe"....like why does the 'ikke' go before the 'ha'? Is it because the verb "ha" isn't actually used as "har" in this case?
Jeg liker ikke-I don't like
Jeg liker ikke ga a kirken.
Jeg liker-I like
Jeg liker spille gitar
Yes. But I don't have the å on the keyboard. And what do you mean by the infinitive? Sorry, I learned English more by speaking than grammar rules, hence I'm better at vocabulary than grammar in all languages. Not bad, but you're missing one important letter; å, or in your case a.
When a verb is in infinitive, you need an å before it.
It has the same meaning as to.
Example:
I like to play guitar.
Jeg liker å spille gitar.
Hope that helps. :]
sorry if I'm being picky, but technically speaking, wouldn'tI don't think I can answer your question as you would like to, but anyways
Jeg vil ikke ha = I do not want
jeg har ikke = I do not have
"Jeg vil ha ikke" doesn't make sense at all, it has to go befor the "ha".
Ah mindfuck

Like I'll know what you're talking of, but I don't recognize it as "infinitive", just "this or that".
