The Official Band/Project/Whatever (yours or anyones) Promotion Thread

My band Atlantis recently released our first album, we are an unsigned so called "online band" who play a mix of traditional metal in the vein of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, and more modern metal genres like power metal and progressive metal. We also use alot of orchestration in some of our songs, influenced by filmscore music. You can listen to mp3 samples on our website http://atlantis-band.dyndns.org and two full songs on our myspace page www.myspace.com/atlantismetal . You can order the album on our website, the price is 7 euros/10 dollars. To spread the word you can also tell people you know who might be interrested in our music about us. Hope our music is to your enjoyment! Cheers /Anders

This is a shameless plug for an old friend of mine.

Check out his myspace and website links...he sells his guitar oriented CD on there for 5 bucks...see what you guys think. I went to high school and attended Berklee College of Music with this dude...he actually graduated Berklee, unlike me. I found him through the miracle of the internet after 23 years...small world, huh? He's a real good player.

Pretty cool stuff...enjoy...his website shows some of his other projects.

To some songs I have created verses, pre-choruses etc. but only one song has my beautiful voice which I know you will love ;)

He's my private instructor here at school (teaches a number of my classes too). The guy is just mindblowing. I never knew what it meant to have my brain hurt until I started taking lessons with him. In addition to the songs in the media player at the top, there's his recording of "impressions" (coltrane) in the left-hand column under "sounds like". There's a couple videos too which are VERY worth watching. I realize his stuff might not exactly be this forum's flavor of choice, but whatever....check him out anyway:)

Hey!http://www.myspace.com/elenium

I know I'm not the most active guy on these boards, but I still want to promote my own bands at every given opportunity! And yes, I do know that it's a bit lame, but if you are into more aggressive (read: involves growling) progressive metal you should check my new band called 'Elenium'!

Give us a listen at http://www.myspace.com/elenium or chek out our website http://www.eleniumband.comand feel free to comment!

Ever since I got Logic Express, I've been working endlessly on recording with it, and this is the first finished product of many. It's probably not something that alot of people wouldn't be into here, but if you're into cheesy spacey ballad type instrumentals, here you go. :)

The Jester's Eyes

The Guitars and Bass are all real; the drums and some synths are all Midi. The Synth Lead is from my Roland SH-201 though. (But I compressed and EQ'd it ALOT.) The Drums and other keyboard patches are all Midi, but the keys are mostly real play; very little is punched in. I really want to rerecord the guitars and actually do drums. But for now, that works.

I also have 2 other songs in the works, but this is the only one that's finished. As soon as I have enough of each to post a good long sample, I'll make a myspace or something like that for it.

How much you want for the oud?

CLICK

This is the complete song. The last version started 5 seconds in and ended with half the song left. This is the whole thing. :)

GO THERE ASAP, brand new songs, new singer announced and a new live video with him! Mutiny is an up and coming technical metal band from New Jersey, just around the corner from Symphony X. If you like Symphony X, Metallica, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Sonata Arctica, Killswitch Engaged, or even Dragonforce, be sure to CHECK THESE GUYS OUT. These guys can shred with the pros (and they aren't even 21 yet!!!!)

Here's a small band from Finland, that go by the name of Thaurorod.

Some of you may have heard of them, but i can imagine there will be more people that haven't.

I talk to the keyboardist quite often, they're great people, and a great band.

They're very professional for a band that small, with great audio quality and album artwork etc. not just some random band that recorded themselves in the bassists bedroom with a single tiny computer mic.

They have the potential to make it into the music industry on a larger scale, i can see them playing festivals like Bloodstock and Wacken in years to come...

Their music is 'Melodic Metal', but they have lots of things that allow them to stand out among other bands

Thaurorod @ Myspace

Just give them a listen and see what you think :D
