The Official Good Television Thread

There is a strange thing about murders, especially murders on TV. Maybe you haven't noticed but they happen in all sorts of different locations.

I just watched an episode of The A Team where BA goes to help out his mate Hulk Hogan. Included in the cast were Greg valentine, Big John Studd, Davy Boy Smith, Ricky Steamboat and Mean Gene. There wasn't that much wrestling in the show but there was some goofy arse stuff between Mr. T and Hogan!

Almost done with my rewatch of Hannibal.

It's incomprehensible to me that this show got cancelled. The writing, production value and cinematography are just incredible. Only thing I can think of is that the third season was too avant-garde compared to its more procedural beginnings for a wider audience.

I never actually saw the third season back then so it's all new to me, outside of the first couple episodes. The last 5 eps are dedicated to the Francis Dolarhyde storyline and they knocked it out the park. The visuals are fucking insane.

I wish more horror television were on its level. I plan on checking out Bates Motel at some point, but I don't really know too many others

an israeli weirdo called zealot1 who used to post here as Darkbliss posts on the RYM forums every single day about how much he loves bates motel and how it's the pinnacle of art and nothing else can possibly compare to its endless splendour, and it annoys the absolute living shit out of me to the point that i'm never ever EVER going to watch bates motel.

example post:
I'm telling you without exaggerations, watching Bates Motel prolongs life, and promotes happiness.

If I pluck all the stars from the sky, trying to come up with a rating for it, there won't be enough.
It's the opinion of everyone who's watched it. Its emotional resonance is boundless, and the more you watch and rewatch it, the better it becomes.

Not a fan of Patrick Dempsey and he looks like a dickhead in that clip. But I'm also not sold on Slater being Harry.

Well, at least the trailer suggests they're undoing the idiotic ending to New Blood. That's two disaster finales this series has had so far, I'm sure they'll get it right the third time!

It would have been better if they ended the first run of Dexter the way the books ended, but I don't think the last book was written when the series ended.

Yeah. From memory the first series covered 2 or maybe 3 books and Jeff Lindsay hadn't written any more than that when they got the go ahead to make S2 so they used their own writers.
