Oh shit, that big dude made Reacher look small.

I was surprised how small Reacher actually is. The dude is shorter than me. They must have spent all of series 1 filming him from his knee caps looking up. S2 I don't think they made such a point on it.

I expect them to go back and remake each of the movies with Alan Ritchson and make them watchable.

Technically, Alan Ritchson is still smaller than the book description of Jack Reacher. Lee Child had Reacher at 6'5" and between 235 and 245 pounds while he was still writing the books.

But while I did like the two Tom Cruise movies, Alan Ritchson fits the physical description of Reacher far better. And as big as he was in Season 1, he bulked up and got even more massive for Season 2.

Just finished watching The Night Manager starring Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston and Olivia Colman, based on the John La Carre novel.
Not a bad 6 part series. a few twists and turns. Apparently they've got the go ahead from Amazon to make a series 2 and 3. Hiddleston will be back and Laurie will produce but there is no suggesting Laurie's character will be back.

I watched the first ep of Dexter Origins last night. The casting is quite good, although Dr ER. looks fucking terrible.
Hard to judge things from one episode but it does feel a little bit like kicking a dead horse for story lines and the use of a noted character to sell it.

Dexter Original Sin is not getting any better 3 eps in,
There is some redeeming things but they are quickly out weighed by poor dialogue, average characters and a story which obviously changes but it really just a carbon copy of what we've seen before.

It is watchable. But I feel like the 'murders' part is going to feel very familiar quickly.
Watching Deb's mouth grow could be interesting.

I think I only watched the first series of Vikings

I think Original Sin is alright so far but man it really leans hard into the apparent requirement of every teenage girl character on TV having to be insufferable with Debra.

Finished all of Dexter the other day but I was feeling too burned out to go straight into New Blood, so I decided to watch a miniseries. Just randomly decided on Ripley and finished it off last night, turned out to be really great!
Dude the season with the Trinity Killer is one of my all time favorites. That finale was a fucking masterpiece.

Watched Territory last week. Aussie Netflix series about a family running the largest cattle station in the world. It's easy to see things are glorified a bit for television but the story is interesting enough. It probably could have had more than it's 6 episodes and told the story in more depth because it did feel rushed. But it's still not a bad watch, and it's left open for a second series if they get it.
Finally started this the other day, only 2 eps in but I'm loving it. Great cast, I didn't even know that bird from Mindhunters was Aussie.

Anna Torv has been in a few Aussie things recently. The Newsreader that's been on the ABC has been quite good.
