The Official Heathen Crusade Thread

anyway, maybe we can corner the guy here

For sure. Put it this way, so many people showed up in the end that they knew halfway through the fest that they had broken even and were already declaring the next Heathen Crusade fest for '07.

I'll give it to the promoters kupshi and mayhem, they know how to put on a show. I can't believe this was the first HC, but they nailed it first time.

Best gig I have been too! You RCer's are some cool cats and it was a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Primordial and Todesbonden stole the show for me. Best song of the night definetaly had to be the Coffin Ships. Bloody fucking amazing. Gugs can you post the pic of Mike throwing up under the table and getting kicked out by security half way through the show. Bloke flies 2000 miles to end up lying in the snow.

...but I'll tell you this: Zod's white Nevermore shirt looks so much cooler now that it's covered in blood.
It's now been through the wash three times... and it's fucked. Had it held the bright red blood spots that covered it, I never would have washed it second time (as it looked quite cool stained with blood). Unfortunately, it lost 75% of the blood stains and the others just turned faded brown.

For those not in the know... unbeknownst to me, Thyrfing's singer was spitting blood into the crowd. I was too busy moshing/thrashing to even know he was doing this, much less that I was on the business end of this Viking Metal baptism. Between my white long sleeve and my bald head, I spent the remainder of the day/evening covered in blood and looking quite Metal.:headbang:

let this be a lesson well learned: wear a WHITE shirt to a metal show and you get what you deserve
I'm hardly concerned about it. First off, I own half a dozen Nevermore shirts. Second, it was actually quite cool, and more than worth ruining a $20 concert t-shirt.

The show was kick ass and I had a great time meeting everyone at the show. I was actually surprised at how personable everyone was especially towards a boarder line lurker like me.
It's always fun to put a name with the face. Good to meet you. Assuming another good line-up, we'll see you next year.
