1st band went on stage at about 1 PMish, Moonsorrow finished their final song at exactly 11 PM.
Of course the night before, we partied in the hotels with the bands until 4-something AM, and then partied after the show in the hotel with the bands until about 5-something AM.

@Moose: we'd be thinking fall, btw; you can't do June through late August, b/c that's the Euro festival circuit in addition to outrageous airfare costs
P.S. to all: we'd be calling it Day of the Dead Festival (I think that's what we voted on after 47 drinks)

I'm just kidding with you as well. Neither the promoters nor myself were in any position to be able to speak at length or make sense. Lotta running around going on.
But I met both of them, they know me now. I will certainly be in touch with them.
I will say this...I hope your mysterious financial "backer" realizes the cost involved in this thing. Moonsorrow cost roughly $7000 + hotel rooms + tour rider/food (that price included their flights, if their drummer is to be believed).

I can tell you that Agalloch & Negura Bunget are 2 of the "very high possibilities" bands. Didn't really think about Destroyer 666, but we're VERY limited in the # of bands we can potentially bring in from overseas (like 3, maybe 4 at the absolute most), so we're gonna be picky.

so 600 people x $25 a pop ... $15K ... hall must have been easily 3-5K with security and stage crew.

That's not a "nice try" from him at all. They were only paid $500 for the gig itself. Ever look up 6 round-trip airfare from Helsinki, Finland to JFK or LaGuardia or Newark? $1000 each, and I'm being generous.
My pics are still being worked on, even zipped, it's an 8MB file, so I'm working on acquiring more BW so I can upload them to a host site and then post them for you clowns.
