Nah...not really. IMO this is EASILY the best metal forum out there, and I'm not just saying that because I've been here for years or because I'm in charge (loosely, of course). This forum is very high quality...it's just that there's much better flamebait than you here. It says more about the quality of the shitty users (whose shit ratings are approaching 0, which means extra shitty).

Do you guys really have to go through Deron to ban asshats like Blue Jay and Dave?

What happens if someone comes along and starts posting kiddie porn, or making death threats to users? They just get a blank check to run rampant until the next prophesied Coming of the Admin?

Brian Bethel reported of a meeting with two unusually confident and eloquent children who attempted to talk him into giving them a ride in his car. Bethel said in his post that he nearly opened the door to admit the children, even though he found them vaguely unsettling, until he realized that their eyes were completely black, with no iris or sclera. He reports that, as soon as he realized this, the children became angry and insistent, and he drove away quickly. His posting implies that the children may have been using some form of low-level mind control to induce him to open the car door.

Since Bethel's original post, there have been other reports of similar experiences in other parts of the country. These accounts are similar to Bethel's in that they generally involve the children's request that the person let them inside their car or house, frequently using an excuse such as "I need to get home to my mother" or something that implies the child is in need of assistance.

xperiences involving the Black Eyed Children generally do not explain the cause of the children's eye color (not to be confused with Aniridia which is the lack of iris; Black Eyed Children have no sclera or white either) or the origins of the children themselves. Some imply they could be ghosts or demons, specifically vampires: the encounters frequently emphasize that the children must be voluntarily admitted or invited into the house or car in question, and in this way are reminiscent of some vampire legends.

Yeah, I had read something about this. It is very creepy, I'm content with not looking into it and just hoping that I never run into such a person.

they can delete post/threads. i feel confident that V5 could man the fort until help arrived. but then dont you know everyone would pledge to stand against the kiddie porn guy, and Nec would just make a stickie telling us to stop flaming him.



hope i never meet a blacked eyed kid. but if they are really that powerful, why do people get away?

Funny story...Nec actually just banned BJ recently, but only from GMD. I had no idea you could do that, as I haven't had the balls to mess around with the moderator control panel thing (wouldn't want to "test ban" someone then have that be un-undoable, you know?). Apparently you just check the "No" radio button for "Access Masks" on the GMD forum. Sadly, we cannot keep him out of Social or Recommendations without going through Deron.

That still doesn't keep them from posting content which is supposedly dangerous to the site. The mods would have to be on guard 24/7 to stop something like that.

Well you were the second person to question me on it. I'm not going to argue with you about this.

You'd think that with all the sightings of Bigfoot we'd catch reliable video too as well. However think about it, how often do you even find animal REMAINS in the wild let alone a live animal (one specifically that is said to avoid human contact.)

Take that and apply it to ghosts and you've got a generally similar concept, one in which perhaps due to the nature of the phenomena (being so unpredictable as to make it hard to document and what not.)

Mind you there HAVE been cases in which science can't explain the happenings, I have to look them up because I don't want to be a douche who doesn't have proof.

It is a strange thing for me - in that I often believe things without basis, but god is something I need a personal experience with. I won't deny the existence of a god, but I just don't believe.

Please don't bring up the kiddie porn stuff, it wasn't porn first of all and it needs to be laid to rest.

Anyways, the thing is they have a distinct ability to "bend the will" of a person, not to control their mind - if a person is strong minded enough they will be able to get away fine.
