You'd think that with all the sightings of Bigfoot we'd catch reliable video too as well. However think about it, how often do you even find animal REMAINS in the wild let alone a live animal (one specifically that is said to avoid human contact.)

Take that and apply it to ghosts and you've got a generally similar concept, one in which perhaps due to the nature of the phenomena (being so unpredictable as to make it hard to document and what not.)

Mind you there HAVE been cases in which science can't explain the happenings, I have to look them up because I don't want to be a douche who doesn't have proof.

It is a strange thing for me - in that I often believe things without basis, but god is something I need a personal experience with. I won't deny the existence of a god, but I just don't believe.

If science cannot explain something that in no way means that it was a ghost. That is the argument from ignorance and is not a valid argument. I really have no clue what your point about animal remains means, nor do I really see the relevance because we have indeed obviously found animal remains where there has never been conclusive evidence for any paranormal phenomenon.

It was referring to the RARITY of finding such things, you don't simply usually find animal remains while wandering around usually, you have to be looking for them. It is reversed in ghost situations, in which looking for it doesn't always work. It was all the rarity I was speaking of.

It doesn't mean that it is NOT a ghost either however.

and please don't use science as this be all end all thing that is infallible, because if it can explain everything then it should be able to explain dark matter and dark energy, stuff that makes up about 50% of this universe, and yet we can not observe it at all.

That might give you an idea just how unreliable our basic human perceptive and cognitive abilities can be and how easily the mind can be tricked into perceiving and believing things that simply aren't there.

No, it does not have to be. That is complete bullshit. If I were born thousands of years ago I could have said "I believe that humans are capable of creating something that will fly" and yet that could NOT have been proven for many MANY years, yet it is NOT unreasonable to believe that.

Strictly adhering to scientific reasoning is as silly as beliving any paranormal stuff, I mean you're going on OBSERVABLE facts, which really doesn't always account for the whole of the situation. (Which is why the dark matter thing is mentioned, we can NOT even observe it - we know it is there, but it is completely unobservable.)

I know I'm contradicting myself here with my not believing in god without experiencing it but ... I never claimed to be perfect.
