The Political & Philosophy Thread

What is your solution? More lives lost with a ground strategy?

The US and Russia are basically doing the same thing. Aerial attacks and limited special forces involvement

Obviously to eliminate ISIS but solutions are hard to come up with when it has gone so far. But being greedy for oil, providing with weapons and have secret pacts will not contribute to any greatness. We should have learned from history yet it repeats itself.

Haha you don't know what you're talking about. Of course there are a handful of conservatives out there but they aren't even remotely a political force, nor do they have any potential representation in government.

What's the dakrynian definition of a conservative then?

there is no answer to ISIS, but to let them destroy themselves

fight them and we make them more alluring to disillusioned youth

we have no chance at stopping them without killing a lot of innocent people

getting smashed right now doesnt mean they're over with

ISIS is using kids to do suicide bombings cause they dont have as many as they used to, but 'getting rid' of them isnt going to be easy

we couldnt get rid of the Taliban, and ISIS is somehow doomed?

Taliban Control of Afghanistan Highest Since U.S. Invasion
by Ken Dilanian

America's 14-year project to defeat the Taliban and build a stable Afghanistan is teetering on the brink of failure, according to a sobering report Friday by a government watchdog.

The Taliban controls more of the country than at any time since U.S. troops invaded in 2001, notes the quarterly report to Congress by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction. The fragile economy is worsening. One of the few bright spots of the troubled reconstruction effort — getting more girls in school — has been tainted by allegations of fraud.

so your rebuttal has no facts supporting your previous argument, other than to call someone shallow, and then insult them?
