the Pronunciation thread

Adramelech
Funebre

I think i'm pronouncing them right, but at the sametime puzzled because the words do not register in my mind as anything. I do not know what to think.

Also

Tiamat
God 'Macabre'

It's Muh - Cob

There is a band that is Corn on the Macabre, so I'm gessing the band sounds like, Corn on muh Cob.

It's so awkward talking to metalheads you run into and pronouncing just about everything differently from the other people.

I was at a Satyricon show, and I said the name sa-tur-icon, and everybody yelled at me and said it was suh-teer-acon.

whatever

goddamn metalbands and their hard to pronounce names :bah:

Ha that's how I always pronounced it too! Thank god I hardly mention them!

Uh-DRA-mell-eck
Fyoo-NEH-bray

TEE-ah-mit/TEE-ah-mut
GAWD--Muh-KAH-bruh (very soft, almost silent "uh")

That's what we do :kickass: :kickass: :kickass:

Although I think the point of this thread was to share how you personally pronounced it, not necessarily the correct way to pronounce it.

No, the thread is made to teach the proper way.

Note: My original post in this thread is merely me making fun of how stupid Metal-Archives is and used to be. What I said was originally posted on Thyrfing's band page there, but now that I look, it doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Sa-türeecon. Make sure that the "a" is identical to the "a" in the word "last" (the British way to pronounce it, not the American).
